o Purpose of Meeting

– To gain knowledge and understanding of the concept, structure, functions and operation of KOICA

– To learn the experience of Korea’s technical and international development cooperation.

– To strengthen the network of KOICA trainees and help them perform in the Association

–  To promote a better understanding of KOICA and strengthen the relationship between Korea and the representatives of KOICA Alumni Associations

o The program consists as below ;

A. SESSIONS

– Session 1: Introduction to KOICA Training Programs

– Session 2 : KOREA’ s Economic Development

– Session 3: Introduction to KOICA ODA Programs

– Session 4: Case Presentation on KOICA Alumni Associations’ Activities

– Session 5: Group Discussion (3 Groups)

– Session 6: Presentation on the Result of Group Discussion

B. PRESENTATION and GROUP DISCUSSION

– Group A: How to maximize the effectiveness of training : way to apply the ideas obtained by the training in my country

– Group B: Improving Administration systems and membership management

– Group C: How to diversify the activities of the association

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

– Innovision Hall, Ubiquitous Hall, Cheonggae stream

– Paju City, Publishing Complex, Unification Tour(Dora Observatory, 3rd Underground Tunnel), Visit LG Philips, English Village

– Icheon Seramic Village, JUMP(Non-Verbal Performance), Samsung Electronics

o Venues : Seongnam & Busan, Korea

o Number of Participants : 25 Participants from 25 countries

– To share the experiences of each Association

– To find ways to vitalize and diversify the activities of each Association

– To strengthen the network of KOICA trainees

 

o The meeting consists as below ;

 

A. LECTURES

a) Session I: KOICA’s ODA Policy and Plan

b) Session II: Status and Plan of KOICA’s Training Program

 

B. PRESENTATION AND GROUP DISCUSSION

a) The presentation are based on the experiences learned from establishing and operating the

Association, including the following topics:

– Introduction of the Association

– Activities of the Association

– Future action plan of the Association

– Recommendations and suggestions for KOICA

b) Group Discussion

– Group A : How to maximize the effectiveness of training – Ways to apply the ideas obtained by

the training in my country

– Group B : How to diversify the activities of the association

– Group C : Improving administration systems and membership management

(including ways to utilize them online)

 

C. STUDY VISITS & CULTURAL EXCURSION

– Digital Pavilion, N Seoul Tower, etc.

– Busan Port, Busan Tower, Hahoe Village, etc
