CAMKAA Annual Reception 2018 “The Young and New Members are CAMKAA’s Energy”

Phnom Penh: On November 27, 2018, Cambodia-Korea Alumni Association (CAMKAA) organized the 16th Annual Reception anniversary in 2018 under the slogan of “The Young and New Members are CAMKAA’s Energy” at Phnom Penh Hotel, under supported by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The event is presided over by Mr. JEONG Yun Gil, Country Director of KOICA Cambodia Office and H.E. Ly Savuth, President of CAMKAA.

CAMKAA’s Annual Reception was organized to gather CAMKAA members networking for a role model of sharing knowledge with Cambodian people as well as a bridge to expand and strengthen the friendship between Korea and Cambodia.

There were around 200 government officials from the relevant ministries of Cambodia. Participants were enjoying with many interesting of education and culture sharing programs as below:

1) Welcome Remarks by H.E. Ly Savuth, President of CAMKAA, 2) Congratulatory Remarks by H.E. Oh Nak-young, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Cambodia 3) Opening Remarks by H.E. Veng Sakhon, Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) 4) Presentation: ” Employment Policy in ASEAN” by Mr. IEM Kounthdy, Deputy Director General, General Department of Labour, Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, 5) Presentation: How Korea Changed Me Into an Entrepreneur by Ms. Sak Sonita, Assistant Manager of WML, KOICA Scholarship Alumni 2016-2017, 6) Scholarship distribution to the poor student from the provinces, 7) Taekwondo Performance, 8) VIDEO Show of CAMKAA activities and 9) Dinner + Khmer Singing Show + Lucky Draw.

CAMKAA’s Seminar and Annual Reception 2017

On 14th November 2017, CAMKAA’s Seminar and Annual Reception was organized at Hotel Cambodiana from 17:00 until 21:00 under the financial support from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), which was presided over by Mr. JEONG Yun Gil, Country Director of KOICA Cambodia Office, H.E Chhieng Yanara, Minister attached to Prime Minister and Secretary General of CRDB/CDC and H.E. Ly Savuth, President of CAMKAA.

CAMKAA stands for Cambodia–Korea Alumni Association which is non-political, independent and non-profit organization. CAMKAA was registered at Ministry of Interior in 2002.

The event aims at sharing knowledge and experiences among CAMKAA members, strengthening cooperation and friendship as well as the mutual understanding between the people of Cambodia and the people of Korea.

There were around 200 participants in attendance. Those 200 participants included Cambodian Royal Government officials, Korean companies, CAMKAA members, Australian Embassy and Embassy of Republic of Korea. In the first session of the event, participants listened to presentation regarding Result of Cambodia Sustainable Development Goal and Achievement of Integrated Rural Development Project. In the second session, participants enjoyed group photo session, Taekwondo performance, video clip of activities of CAMKAA in 2016 and buffet dinner together.

CAMKAA Seminar On 17th September 2016

On 17th September 2016, Cambodia-Korea Alumni Association (CAMKAA) organized a seminar on “Sharing Knowledge with our Friends” at CAMBODIANA Hotel from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM under the financial support of KOREA International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), which was presided over by H.E. Ly Savuth, President of CAMKAA and Mr. Jeong Yun Gil, Country Director of KOICA Cambodia.

The Seminar aimed at sharing knowledge, skills and experiences among CAMKAA members about what they gained from training in Korea and how they applied them in Cambodia within their ministries/agencies.

Two guest speakers presented about (1) ICT in public administration and (2) ASEAN Economics Integration. Moreover, the participants discussed over the CAMKAA’s constitution for amendments.

Cambodia-Korea Friendship Night 2014 on Hang Meas HD TV

The annual Cambodia-Korea Friendship Night was once again held on Thursday, December 04, 2014 at InterContinental Hotel under the cooperation of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Cambodia Korea Alumni Association (CAMKAA) and the support from the Embassy of Korea to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
