His Excellency Lee Kyung-soo, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Cambodia,

His Excellency Dr. Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia,

His Excellency Cho Won-ho, Vice President of KOICA of the Republic of Korea,

Mr. Kim Byung-gwan, Representative of KOICA to Cambodia,

Excellencies, Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen,

Dear all members of Association!


In this auspicious night, I have the great honor and I am extremely delighted to show my deep exciting feeling on the 8th annual reception of our association. Tonight, it is the good opportunity for us to know each other, to share our memory and knowledge which we have brought it from our friend country, the Republic of Korea. We are very proud of studying new technology and we bring those experiences to practice in our country in order to reduce poverty and national development.

Excellencies, Ladies, Gentlemen, honorable guests and all members of association,

We could witness eyes that the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Korea has been continuing the diplomatic relations and good friendship cooperation with many achievements such as: politics, economics, society, culture, tourism etc. since our two countries have re-established the diplomatic relations in 1997. I would take this opportunity to deeply thank the Republic of Korea who has shared development experience, modern technology as well as fund to Cambodia to develop economy and people welfare.

Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen!

Our association has operated for 8 years. I would take this great opportunity to announce that our association has achieved the association constitution and has agreed in the temporary board members to change the name to “Cambodia Korea Alumni Association (CAMKAA)”. We held the 1st general congress to select official CAMKAA permanent board members in On December 22, 2007 as Mr. Seng Setha, Vice of President of CAMKAA has already reported. Moreover, we will celebrate the 2nd general congress to elect the official CAMKAA permanent board members of this association on December, 2010.

On behalf of CAMKAA, I would like to thank and appreciate to all members of temporary board members who spend your time and your effort to achieve the brilliant result until now.

Before finishing, I would like to deeply thank to the Republic of Korea and Korean people, H.E. Lee Kyung-soo, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Cambodia to attend this ceremony and who has provided much grant aid to develop the country of Cambodia and our Cambodian people.

I would like thank His Excellency Dr. Mam Bunheng, Minister of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia who has attended the ceremony tonight to make this ceremony more honorable and valuable.

I would like to thank His Excellency Cho Won-ho, Vice President of KOICA of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Kim Byung-gwan, Representative of KOICA to the Kingdom of Cambodia and Mr. Son Sung-il, Deputy Representative of KOICA to the Kingdom of Cambodia who have supported CAMKAA and this 8th Annual Reception.

Finally, I would like to wish all Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen as national and international guests, all members of CAMKAA of happy and successful New Year.
